About Pamela:
Pamela Ide has dedicated 35 years to teaching elementary school in Kalamazoo. As she prepares for retirement, she's embarking on an exciting new chapter - earning her Master's degree in Counseling Psychology with a focus on grief counseling. This path feels deeply meaningful to her after experiencing several significant losses over the past three years.
A lifelong animal lover, Pamela knows firsthand the heartbreak of losing a cherished pet. She's committed to helping others navigate their grief and honoring the deep connections we share with our animal companions.
Pamela believes that grief doesn't follow a timeline, and she's here to create a welcoming, judgment-free space where you can share your feelings, whether that's love, loss, sadness, or anything else you're experiencing. While each session will have a suggested topic, you're always welcome to bring up whatever is on your mind and heart. Everyone will have the opportunity to share if they'd like, but there's absolutely no pressure. Sometimes just being with others who truly understand can bring comfort.
